Constellations Film

‘… most personal development is additive until you’re overflowing with tools, with concepts, with ideas and beliefs. This is emptying. And with emptying there is more space, more stillness, more silence, more room for all of you.

I recently made a short film for the School of Life in LA. About their Constellations work. To capture a sense of something that lies beyond the capacity of words. It was filmed, as is usual, in front of an audience.

This film has been described as mysterious. And to be honest it is. As is Constellations work. As is the way I film. As is life itself. Whether we choose to recognize it, or not.

Sometimes it takes more than an ounce of courage to suspend one’s own belief that you know how life works. And more nerve than most to surrender one’s own sense that you are in control.

Some will get this, many won’t. And some will recognize a crack of light in the far distance.

Row, row, row your boat. Gently down the stream. Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily. Life is but a dream.
